The founder's story
I could not find the room I needed.
So I built it.
"There is a chapter of life no one really prepares you for. Mine began the day I became a single mother."
Shilpa Prasad, Founder

The chapter no one prepares you for
I felt deeply alone in rooms full of people. From the outside everything held together: the child was fed, the work got done, the calendar moved. Inside, I was carrying a weight nobody could see and nobody asked about.
The world handed me logistics. Paperwork, schedules, decisions that arrived whether or not I was ready for them. Underneath all of it sat a quieter question that no process could answer.
Who am I now?
What I could not find
Plenty of advice. Very little company.
There were professionals for the paperwork and platitudes for the feelings. What did not exist was a considered space for the long middle: the years when a woman is rebuilding her sense of self, her stability, and her belonging, all at the same time.
So I stitched my own path together, emotionally, practically, quietly. And somewhere along the way it became clear that this was not only my story. It is a shared experience we rarely speak out loud, and it deserves a more thoughtful space than it has been given.
What I built instead
Not a service. An architecture.
- 01
The Circles
Three to five women, in person, no performance. The room I went looking for and could not find.
- 02
The Rebuilding Map
A private reflection that helps a woman name where she is in the rebuilding, and what may help next.
- 03
Guided Programs
Structured cohorts for the parts of rebuilding that need more than conversation: steadiness, stability, identity.
- 04
A Trusted Network
Practitioners and partners vetted for the way they hold people, not only for their credentials.
Where this is going
The Red Thread Project is being built for the woman who comes next, so that the room already exists when she needs it, in more cities, with more hands holding it than mine alone.
Different stories. One thread that connects us.
